Pink Pirate Hair was founded by Laura in 2003. It started off when she fell in love with some giant woolly hair at a Slayer gig in 2002, and from that moment onwards she was searching everywhere she could to find things to attach to her hair. After learning to make her own dreads, she started taking commissions from friends and eventually decided to create her website to showcase her work.Pink Pirate Hair is less of a business, more of an ongoing project to make pretty things. Along the way we’ve gathered many great friends, grabbed new influences, and changed the way we do things. Hair-making is a spare-time activity now, and a very enjoyable one indeed.
Other spare-time activities include making steampunk-inspired accessories, drawing comics and people, and gaming.
